Shirley Lions Club

Shirley Lions Club enjoys working together on community activity in and around Shirley, Dickens Heath, Cheswick Green, Monkspath and Solihull Lodge. We are one of the seven Lions Clubs in the Solihull M B C, totalling about 140 Lions, and we often work with the other Solihull clubs on Borough wide projects. One of our recent joint projects was to provide a "Man Shed" at the Marie Curie hospice in Solihull.

Shirley Lions together with the other Lions Clubs in Solihull Borough are proud to hold the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK and recognises outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of the Queen's coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups. https://qavs.culture.gov.uk/
